About Me
Katie Cameron-Kitchen

An experienced teacher in both private, state and international schools, I genuinely love teaching and helping children develop confidence in their ability to learn. Through I Can Tuition I want to offer tailored support to children of all abilities, whether I’m helping them build confidence, filling gaps that regular school has left, helping with homework or building on key skills.

I found a love of tutoring whilst in Italy, where I worked at the International School of Trieste. I helped my students grasp the use of the English language, as well as helping them develop the main key skills in reading and writing.

On my return to England, I was lucky enough to work in a small village private school. I was given the opportunity to work with children from the ages of three to eleven during my working week. I went on to tutor some of my students during the holiday periods, which I found very fulfilling.

I have now decided to continue working as a tutor on a more regular basis, offering lessons outside of the school holidays. I still work in school on a  part-time basis as I will always love being in the classroom! It has its benefits for tutoring too as it enables me to keep in the loop with curriculum changes and updates.

What I’m Proud Of

  • Plucking up the courage to work abroad when I was 18 as a children’s holiday rep! This was also what gave me the realisation that I love working with children 🙂
  • My charity marathon runs to raise money for Alzheimer’s and the illness that my mum suffers from
  • I’m very house-proud and I love looking after my dependents: two kittens and a husband!
